We often overlook how unique representative democracy is in the scope of human history. I came across an amazing podcast a few months ago that related our modern moment to another in Roman history. Itโs a fascinating listen, even if you arenโt a history person. More importantly, it ends with some essential lessons for our time.

A look at history helps provide a balanced view. Our nation has weathered many intense storms in the past. But, also, its flourishing has always been dependent upon good people who have the skills to navigate their world effectively and are willing to work for what they believe in.
More than anything, that is the mission of parents and educators: to develop people like thisโFire-Carriers who are capable of taking this great inheritance and ushering it on to the next generation. Onward!
